Privacy, plainly.
You talk to us about the most valuable thing you own. Here is exactly what we do, and don't do, with what you share.
What we collect
Two things. First, what you give us: your name, email, trade, revenue range, and anything you write in the message field of our contact form, or in emails you send us. Second, ordinary analytics about how the site is used — which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what browser and device were used, and which site linked you here. We don't run advertising trackers, sell data, or buy lists.
How we use it
To reply to you, evaluate fit, and continue a conversation you started. That's it. We never share your information with third parties for marketing, and we never contact your employees, customers, or competitors without your permission.
Confidentiality
Conversations about selling your business are held in strict confidence. We sign NDAs on request, and anything you share under one is governed by it in addition to this policy.
Where it lives
Form submissions are processed by Netlify (our website host) and delivered to our founder inboxes. Site analytics are processed by Google Analytics, which means that data is handled by Google and may be stored in the United States. We keep correspondence as long as a conversation is live or the law requires.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. It sets a cookie in your browser containing a random identifier, which lets it tell a returning visitor from a new one. We don't use it for advertising, we've switched off ad personalisation and data sharing with other Google products, and Google Analytics never stores your full IP address. When a contact form is submitted we record that an inquiry happened, along with the trade and the revenue range you picked from the two dropdowns, so we can see which pages bring the right conversations. So that the same inquiry is never counted twice, sending the form also leaves a second cookie that holds nothing but the moment you pressed send; the confirmation page reads it, deletes it on the spot, and it expires on its own after thirty minutes. Your name, your email address and anything you write in the message field are never sent to Google.
If you'd rather not be counted, any browser's cookie controls will block it, as will most ad and tracker blockers. Google also publishes an opt-out add-on that works across every site. None of it affects the site or how we handle your inquiry.
Your choices
Email sierra@ridgeandvalleyholdings.com anytime to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We'll confirm within a few business days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Questions? Write to us; a founder answers.
